The Poster for World Press Photo 06 is everywhere, picturing this Mother and child at emergency feeding center, Tahoua, Niger. It saddens me everytime i gazed into this very pictureI've been meaning to go... hasnt had the time... but the closing date for the exhibition is this Sunday! and im going with few people from church... give us a buzz if any of you want to come??!?!? it costs absolutely FREE! =P
This picture on the left (the boy helps his father to dress) is one of my favourite.. it gives you that bittersweet feeling in the end...
and this picture above, reminds me of time when Israel were about to enter the promised Land
The photos are beautifully taken but some are very distressing to look at because of the subject matter.
I used to buy them annually but had since stopped a few years back for the above reason. This world can be a very sad place sometimes.
